This news about GameStop shutting down more than 400 stores in the United States clearly shows how physical video game retail has become a declining business. The closures are part of a broader effort to cut costs and shift more focus to digital operations, but this isn’t an isolated move — in 2024 alone, nearly 600 stores were closed, and several international markets were abandoned as well. This highlights how the traditional model of buying games in physical stores is no longer as relevant in a world dominated by digital downloads and online sales. At the same time, it’s hard to ignore the human impact — job losses and fewer gathering spots for gaming communities. It may be the most rational path from a financial standpoint, but it’s a tough moment for anyone who grew up visiting these stores to follow launches or trade games in person.

This really shows how things got out of hand fast. Rockstar dropped a tool for players to create missions in GTA Online and almost immediately people were making assassination missions based on real people. That’s not satire or dark humor anymore, it’s just messed up. You can see why Rockstar rushed to delete it and even block the name. User-generated content is cool, but when it crosses that line, it turns into a real headache.

I really liked how the article debunks a common myth: in plain HTML, many end tags aren’t actually required, and the browser correctly closes elements on its own. This completely changes how we think about writing markup—especially compared to XHTML, which was strict about closing everything. Understanding the difference between truly empty (void) elements and those with optional ends, and knowing when and why browsers handle them this way, gives developers more confidence to write lean HTML without fear of “breaking” the page, while also keeping readability and maintainability in mind for the future.

parts of the js code in Portuguese, it doesn't mean that anyone browsing this site will understand you! But for me, that's irrelevant.

Oh! Someone speaking Portuguese here =D But from what I understand, you wanted to resolve the issue of links opening directly to the linked site, but you can click on ‘comment’ and it will give you the option to read the comments and comment as well. I hope this helps.
