Your authentic [Hoyle Card Games](https://jefklakscodex.com/games/pc/hoyle-card-games-2002/) collection
you know and love from the PC but for the Game Boy! Take your Hearts, Spades,
Crazy Eights, and Gin on the go and battle it out with a friend -- locally or
using the link cable! That's how the sales pitch might have went. Sierra said
yes, Sandbox Studios said let's do this, and in 2000, we got the crappiest
version of _Hoyle_ ever released. Yay.
I was initially a bit less sceptical. After all, you _can_ indeed take your
beloved digital card games with you everywhere you go, and it was seven more
years waiting for the DS to properly solve this using a stylus. But the better
I looked at it, trying to find the good parts, the less stuff I found I could
possibly mention here as being worthwhile. The fact that I'm playing a 25 year
old GBC game that's long been superseded with better implementations I played
first has probably something to do with it, but still.
Okay, good things, let me think; Well, it does include Spades and Hearts,
that's more than the eighties original Hoyle games ...
