Rigel Gameworks strikes again: after the smooth [Duke Nukem I/II remaster](https://jefklakscodex.com/games/evercade/duke-nukem-collection-1/) shipped in the Evercade DN1 collection, lead developer Lethal Guitar announced their next project [would be BioMenace](https://lethalguitar.wordpress.com/2025/04/10/biomenace-remastered/). Eleven months later, I (or rather, Snake Logan) once again blasted my way through mutants and robots and lived to tell this tale.
In 1993, I was eight years old, and getting through that shareware episode was
extremely difficult. I remember countless visits to my grandparents--the ones
with the 486 that kept on calling me, urging me to abandon all social rules
and retreat to the study--where I booted up any Apogee platformer through _3D
Menu_. If that happened to be _BioMenace_ , chances are I would return home
frustrated by cheap deaths and very limited continues.
