It doesn't happen often that the same game is recommended to me by three different people. After the last time, a 20% off discount at `gog.com` pushed me over the edge: it was finally time to get drifting. I knew little going in except that it was a gritty pixelated adventure game with a cool looking trailer. _The Drifter_ delivered the expectations I set based on that trailer with flying colours--in fact, it exceeded it by a large margin. It's not perfect; but then again, what is. The game's ominous main menu synth tune started crawling its way into my brain at the tiniest idle moments and I couldn't stop thinking about the game.
