Sony and Microsoft are completely out of touch with this push to force thousand-dollar consoles onto the market. Honestly, this obsession with pushing photorealistic graphics should've ended a long time ago.
The cost of chips went through the roof because of the AI craze, and now they want to dump that burden straight onto gamers—even though the visual difference between generations these days is minimal. Nintendo proved years ago that what actually keeps people around is good ideas and reasonable prices, not having a supercomputer in your living room. If they keep down this road, they're going to turn consoles into a niche luxury product and drive everyone else straight to PC or mobile.
